On February 15th, a high-level delegation from NTNU and SINTEF paid MINTEK a visit to kick off the INPART Metal Production project.
An introduction to MINTEK by Alan McKensie, General Manager Technology was followed by an introduction to NTNU by Jostein Mårdalen, Head of Material Science and Engineering and to SINTEF by Nina Dahl, Head of Department of Materials and Chemistry. The introductions were followed by an introduction to the INTPART Metal Production project presented by Merete Tangstad and discussions of possible ways to cooperate in addition to, and after, the INTPART Project. The meeting was followed by visits to the laboratory and pilot-scale facilities in Pyrometallurgy available at MINTEK.
